Deal ON!!! Arsenal to challenge United for this Serie A star

The North London outfit Arsenal are reportedly ready to enter in the race for Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma star Konstantinos Manolas as soon as the summer transfer window is opened.

Kostas Manolas has been on the radar of Man United for a long time as it is expected that they would have landed him in the last January winter transfer window.

It is reported that former Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho had made an attempt to secure the signature of the Greece international but it did not fall through.

However, the Gunners boss Unai Emery seems to be weighing the option of handing the star player the opportunity of playing in the English League as they are also keen to land a defender in this summer window.

The Gunners had the defence as their weakest point as they barely recorded clean sheets despite securing wins in their games.

This remains an issue the Spanish boss must tackle to be able to compete for titles in the coming season, having failed to secure a top-four finish this season.

Meanwhile, the Unai Emery team have been able to secure qualification to the finals of the Europa League against Chelsea later this month.
