Liverpool Defender Dismisses Premier League Title Pressure

Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has debunked widespread reports that the Reds are feeling the pressure in the race for the Premier League title.

In his recent interview monitored by popular media outlet Goal, the Scottish national team skipper revealed that the pressure of relegation is greater than that of winning the title.

Andy Robertson moved to Liverpool from Hull City at the start of last season after suffering relegation with the Tigers in the summer of 2017.

The Scottish left-back was quick to point out that Liverpool are still in a fantastic position in the quest to win the Premier League title.

Robertson and his Liverpool teammates have been heavily criticised in the last few days after they lost their lead at the top of the Premier League table to defending champions Manchester City.

Liverpool were seven points ahead of the Citizens in December but Manchester City have managed to overhaul that deficit with nine games to go.

Manchester City have a one-point lead at the top of the table after they capitalised on the Reds’ poor form in recent Premier League games.

Liverpool have drawn three of their last four games in the league including last Sunday’s goalless draw at the home of Merseyside rivals Everton.
