The Spanish boss joined the North London outfit at the end of the season following the sack of former manager Arsene Wenger.
It is understood that he has been mandated to return the club back to winning ways as well as ensure qualification to the Champions League next season. This adds to the fact that trophies have to be won for competition in various competitions.
However, the Gunners are out of the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup while winning the Premier League already looks like an impossibility but their hope of qualifying to the Champions League with a top-four finish is yet to be decided owing to the fact that the competition for the spot is tight.
However, Arsenal legend Robert Pires thinks the Spanish boss is the right man for the Arsenal job, noting that the best of the team under him would soon be seen because it is normal to have a rough start despite being a great manager.
