United make big transfer U-turn ahead of summer window

Manchester United is one of the clubs that was expected to engage in the last winter transfer window but that did not happen as they hope to storm the coming summer window for more reinforcement.

Right from the last summer transfer window at the beginning of the season, the attention of the Red Devils were paid to their defence with former manager Jose Mourinho insisting that the club must bring in quality defenders.

The Portuguese boss blamed the defenders during the time he struggled to win games before his sack which is the reason why the club agreed to move in for more signings at the end of the season.

However, with the resurgence of the team under interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the attention might have shifted by the club as the former Red Devils forward who is tipped to land the club at the Old Trafford on a permanent basis is set to give the defenders a second chance.

This, therefore, means that the club will no longer have their focus on defenders with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reported to be paying attention to Borussia Dortmund youngster Jadon Sancho who has been impressive at the German Bundesliga outfit.

However, the Sun reports that the Red Devils must be ready to spend big to be able to steal the player away from Dortmund.
