Alex Iwobi reveals top secret about England

Despite playing for the England National side at youth level in time past, Nigeria international forward Alex Iwobi opted back in 2015 to represent the Super Eagles at senior international level and has recently stated why, in a report published by the Mirror.

The Gunners midfielder confirmed it was an extremely difficult decision, however, explained his family played an important role in the decision he took, including Ex Bolton Wanderers player and Alex Iwobi’s uncle Austine Jay-Jay Okocha – a Super Eagles legend.

Iwobi told the media in Nigeria, that despite growing up in the European country and knowing only the England national side, the switch was easy, as he was born in Nigeria, and his Uncle is a Super Eagle Legend.

Alex Iwobi has performed pretty well for the Super Eagles since the switch of allegiance two years ago and played a vital role in their recent surprising 4-2 victory over South American side Argentina, a match that saw the Arsenal star score twice.

After his brilliant performance for his national team, Alexander Iwobi will be hoping Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was closely watching his exploit, as he looks to seal a regular starting shirt for the North London club, starting this with the North London derby this Saturday.
