Chelsea fans are expecting an official announcement to herald Mauirizio Sarri’s arrival at Stamford Bridge this summer.
It appears the tactician is already planning ahead, and it appears Chelsea will rise again next season.
According to new reports circulating in the media, the 59-year-old manager will try signing Alexsandr Golovin ahead of Arsenal and Manchester United if he becomes boss at Stamford Bridge.
Maurizio Sarri reportedly agreed to personal terms with the West London club some days back, but they are yet to reach a compromise with Napoli.
Chelsea are yet to begin summer business – while the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool have made some new signings already. However, Sarri’s arrival will definitely spark Chelsea into action, and it appears the fans will have a reason to smile broadly soon.
The Evening Standard made it known that the manager will try signing Golovin from CSKA Moscow once he gets to the position of authority at Stamford Bridge.
Golovin has been heavily linked with a move away from the Russian side this summer after he emerged as a target for both Arsenal and Manchester United.
United boss Jose Mourinho was physically present to watch Golovin’s display against Saudi Arabia last week. The player scored a goal and provided two assists to his teammates as his country thrashed their opponents 5-0 in Moscow.
It would be a big surprise if Sarri can actually beat Arsenal and Manchester United to the player’s signature this summer.
