Reigning Premier League champions, Chelsea have turned down the opportunity to secure the services of Portuguese Superstar midfielder Andre Gomes.
As reported by Don Balon, the West London giant isn’t thrilled about bringing in the Barcelona’s out of favour player.
It’s being reported that French Ligue 1 big spenders Paris Saint Germain and La Liga giant Atletico Madrid have also rejected the opportunity to sign the former Valencia midfielder.
The only European heavyweight still showing interest in Gomes has been Italian Serie A defending champions Juventus as reported by Don Balon.
Gomes’ future at the Catalan club looks in major doubt – however, a transfer to another elite team seems unlikely after his poor form.
Reports also had it last month that the Portugal international midfielder remains a major transfer target for Tottenham manager Maurico Pochettino.
The Portuguese midfielder was close to completing a move to the North London club in August.
However, a move failed to materialize as Spurs tried to seal the deal on the summer deadline day of the last transfer window.
The Portugal international midfielder has played 5 La Liga matches for Barcelona this League season and he made a late substitute appearance in the Champions League against Olympiakos in the midweek.
However, he’s expected to depart the Spanish club during the winter transfer window.
