Manchester United Legend Gary Neville has heaped praise on Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas for his display as the Blues secured a 1-0 win over Manchester United at the Bridge on Sunday evening.
The Spaniard was in top shape for the Gunners as Conte’s boys bounced back from their 3-0 defeat in Rome to AS Roma in the UEFA Champions League last week with a brilliant display.
After a scoreless first 45mins at Stamford Bridge, Spain international striker Alvaro Morata headed the home team in front in the 55th minute with a good header from defender Cesar Azpilicueta’s cross.
Cesc Fabregas and forward Eden Hazard were both in top shape for Conte’s side as they claimed a vital win against Jose Mourinho’s side in the title race.
But it was the midfielder who former United defender Gary Neville was particularly impressed by at the Bridge.
Talking during Sky Sports‘ Live coverage of the match, he said: “[Cesc] Fabregas was fantastic, I [Necville] have to say. He [Fabregas] really was. He [Fabregas] was absolutely outstanding.
“[Eden] Hazard and [Cesc] Fabregas are the threats in this Chelsea side and they [both plsyers] had too much joy.”
The Blues return to League action after the upcoming international break with a clash with West Bromwich Albion on 18 November.
Sunday’s loss, meanwhile, left Jose’s team eight points behind runaway league leaders Manchester City after 11 matches of the new campaign.
