Luke Shaw

According to new reports coming from England, the London duo of Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in English defender Luke Shaw and have been monitoring his situation at Manchester United.

Shaw’s career at Old Trafford appears to be drawing to a close, and it was made known that a handful of premier league clubs are keeping their eyes on him.

Manchester United bought the player for £29million three years ago, but a series of injuries and loss of form made him unable to get regular first-team football at the club.

Some days back, there were widespread reports about the Manchester United board made the decision not to buy new players in January if they won’t first sell, and manager Jose Mourinho has been informed too.

With the new development, Luke, who has made just two first-team appearances this term so far, has emerged as the major player to be sold in January in order to raise funds.

Recently, The Telegraph reported that the Old Trafford club have already triggered a clause in his contract that would extend his deal until the end of 2019.

However, it was made known that his deal was only extended because the club aims at getting something close to what they paid for him back in 2014.

And it was also made known that Chelsea are now monitoring his situation closely at Old Trafford, alongside the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
