Arsenal star player Mesut Ozil has dropped some hints that he is not pleased with Arsene Wenger for not playing him in his best position since the French manager switched to a 3-4-3 system at the club.
Ozil’s start to the new term has been disturbed by a knee injury, and the former Real Madrid player has also been forced to contend with rising speculation that surrounds his future.
His current contract with the Gunners will expire at the end of this season, and there are no signs he will be extending his stay at the club by signing a new deal.
He has been linked with a move away from the North London club, and there are speculations that he will be reuniting with his former manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
Mesut put in a brilliant display in last weekend’s 5-2 win against Everton at Goodison Park, but he still made it known that he would prefer to play in his natural No.10 role, rather than playing out on the wing.
Speaking to Sky Sports recently, the Germany international described himself as a player ‘who needs to have fun on the pitch’.
According to him, everyone knows his best position is the No. 10 playmaker role, and that he knows himself better than ‘anyone else’.
