Stoke City star player Xherdan Shaqiri has been linked with a move away from the club in recent times after emerging as a target for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
And according to new reports circulating in the media about the star player, the Anfield club are set to splash £12 million to get his signature this summer.
Stoke City were relegated to the Championship this season, giving Shaqiri the chance to move elsewhere to ply his trade.
The talented player has a break clause in his contract at the club and can be bought for cheap this summer.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is determined to reinforce his team by signing new players that can add more power to his side. He is reportedly in the market to sign a new attacker that can cover Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
The Daily Mail made it known that the Merseysiders have asked about the player and are set to trigger the £12M release clause in his contract.
It was also added that the likes of Roma and Everton are also interested in his signature. However, the Switzerland international has made known his desire to remain in England whenever he will be leaving Stoke City.
If he can be assured of getting some reasonable amount of playing time, we believe the Swiss star will agree to sign for Liverpool.
