Manchester United star player Luke Shaw has confessed he is keen to reunite with his former manager Mauricio Pochettino at White Hart Lane, and he believes the Argentine boss wants him to come over to London.
Both have worked together back then at Southampton, and the left-back flourished under the manager before making a £30million move to Manchester United in 2014.
The 22-year-old has however struggled since his switch to Old Trafford, and has made only two appearances as a substitute in the League Cup this term.
His contract with the red devils will get expired next summer, and there are speculations that his time at the club is over.
It was also believed that the player’s relationship with manager Jose Mourinho is very bad, with reports on Thursday that he is no longer on speaking terms with the Portuguese manager.
And Luke now admits he would welcome a reunion with Mauricio Pochettino, with the view of reviving his career.
Writing in Guillem Balague’s book Brave New World: Inside Pochettino’s Spurs (via Metro), Shaw revealed the good relationship that exist between him and the Argentine tactician:
‘He [Mauricio] used to call me his son,’ he wrote.
He also revealed his desire to reunite with the Spurs boss.
