Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been very much busy this summer so far and has splashed alot of cash to strengthen his team ahead of the upcoming premier league campaign.
Liverpool are one of the top spenders in the English premier league this summer, signing Fabinho (from Monaco), Naby Keita (from RB Leipzig), Xherdan Shaqiri (from Stoke City) and goalkeeper Alisson (from AS Roma).
The Merseysiders have spent up to £180M so far, and they are tipped for premier league glory this term.
But when we all thought the Anfield club are done with summer business, Klopp said he is going to make another signing before the end of the transfer window.
Speaking to the press after Liverpool’s impressive 5-0 win over Napoli, the German boss was asked if he would conduct any more business this summer, and his short response was ‘yes’.
Obviously, Klopp is aware of the necessity to reinforce his defense department before the close of the window.
Apart from Virgil Van Dijk, other center-backs at Anfield weren’t much impressive last season.
If he is to completely transform the side into a European powerhouse next season, the former Dortmund manager must sign a new superb partner for Van Dijk in the heart of Liverpool’s defense.
