Mauro Icardi

Chelsea new manager and Italy international, Maurizio Sarri is keen on adding a new striker to the Blues squad in January.

And one of the key strikers he has been linked with is Argentina international and Inter Milan’s striker, Mauro Icardi.

However, the Inter Milan captain has raised Chelsea hope of signing him.

Mauro Icardi in a recent statement said, ‘There are many voices when there are offers, we’ll evaluate them, but I’m very happy here at Inter Milan.’

This means the top striker is not ruling out any move away from Inter Milan despite the fact that he is happy at San Siro.

Apart from Chelsea, Spanish club, Real Madrid are also interested in the Inter Milan’s striker and can make a move for him in the January transfer window as a replacement for Kareem Benzema, who is having some hard times in the Spanish La Liga.

Mauro Icardi is a prolific goalscorer and should he move to Chelsea in January, he will surely be preferred above Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata.

Chelsea are determined to add a new striker that can score goals regularly to their squad.

The Blues duo strikers Morata and Giroud have been underwhelming this season.
