Why we won Leicester City, Alex Iwobi

Arsenal came up from 1-0 down to have the day with a 3-1 win against Leicester City in the Premier League clash on Monday.

It was a great performance by the Nigerian international who was given the nod to start the game but most importantly, the team’s captain Mesut Ozil was able to deliver a fine performance in addition to scoring a goal.

Top class saves from goalkeeper Bernd Leno is also worthy of note as he stopped the visiting side from scoring more goals that would have made it more difficult for his side to have a comeback.

Generally, it was a great performance by the team with striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang coming from the bench to score a brace to repeat what happened against Fulham.

However, Iwobi stated that the win would have been impossible if his side lacked the winning mentality they have now developed under new manager Unai Emery.

According to him, the Arsenal team were not discouraged by the pressing from the Foxes but remained strong throughout to ensure a victory at the end of the day

Iwobi, therefore, hints that the confidence of the team is improving by the day with the games, disclosing that the mood of the team is a good one at the moment.
