Champions League finalists Liverpool have received a major transfer boost after one of their best players revealed that his future is at Anfield despite the interest of Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Sadio Mane has emerged as one of the key players for Liverpool this season as the Reds chased honours in both the Champions League and the Premier League.

His form has attracted the interest of Spanish giants Real Madrid who are in the middle of a major rebuilding job at the club after a disappointing season.

Real Madrid ended the season without a single major trophy and also made three managerial appointments along the line.

Sadio Mane spoke about his desire to stay at Liverpool for the foreseeable future in a chat with Sky Sports.

The Senegalese international was speaking ahead of the all-important Champions League clash with Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Mane and Liverpool already missed out on the Premier League title to holders Manchester City by just one point and they won’t want to finish the season without a trophy.

Sadio Mane is expected to play his part in that quest to win the Champions League title having already scored 26 goals for Liverpool in all competitions including 22 league goals which was enough for winning the Golden Boot Award alongside fellow Africans Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah.
