According to Italian media reports, Arsenal are very confident of completing the signing of Bernd Leno from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in a reported £22m transfer deal.
Arsenal keen on Bundesliga star
Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited by Metro, is claiming that Napoli have turned their focus towards landing Petr Cech from north London side Arsenal, after missing out on a move for Leno.
Leno is generally tipped to be close to joining the Premier League side as newly appointed manager Unai Emery looks to build a squad good enough to win the League next term.
The same article says that the Gunners are on the verge of a move for Leno from Leverkusen, and Arsenal are also prepared to sign Uruguay international midfielder Lucas Torreira in a reported £26.2million deal.
Arsenal seek reinforcement
The Gunners are thought to be in the market for a couple of new recruits this summer window as Unai Emery looks to assemble a team capable of breaking back into the Premier Leagues top four.
The Spanish tactician was appointed as successor to French tactician Arsene Wenger at The Emirates Stadium last month after the former Monaco boss stood down after about 22 years at the helm of the London outfit.
They have not won the English Premier League since the 2004 triumph and missed out on UEFA Champions League action for next term.
