Roma shot-stopper Alisson Becker has been heavily linked with the duo of Liverpool and Real Madrid this summer, but it appears he is bound to play at the Bernabeu next season.
There are some reports from Spain that indicate the Champions League winners are on the verge of agreeing to a deal for the goalkeeper’s signature ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
The La Liga club had initially submitted an offer that is in the region of £43.8 million, but the Serie A side quickly rejected it as it was below their expectations. The Italian club are said to be seeking a lucrative £61.3 million before allowing the Brazilian goalie depart Rome.
However, Spanish news outlet Marca made it known that Roma have agreed on completing it all with £52.6 million and Real Madrid have agreed on that too.
Nevertheless, this update will definitely represent bad news for Liverpool fans. The Anfield club are also heavily interested in signing Alisson this summer and have been strongly linked with him in recent times.
The South American has evolved into one of the best goalkeepers in the world following his impressive displays at Roma. Although his current contract at the club is meant to expire in 2021, it is understood he is keen to leave this summer and join a bigger club.
Last season, he made 61 appearances for Roma in all competitions, and he played a big role in their Champions League exploits.
