Chelsea have made £5 million bid for Ascoli winger Ricardo Orsolini.
Reports in Italy have it that the Blues have made contact with Ascoli to sign the 19-year-old who is seen as a long-term replacement for Pedro at the Stamforf Bridge.
According to Sportitalia the English giants are vying for the signature of Orsolini with AC Milan who also keen on luring him to the San Siro.
Parma scout Andrea La Spisa has also revealed earlier this month that the Gunners are watching the winger and could move for him soon.
The 19-year-old winger has been a brilliant figure for his club in the Serie B, scoring four goals for his club this season.
The youngster has attracted a lot of interest from clubs in Europe and Ascoli wants to tie him to a new deal despite just penning a deal that will see him remain at the Serie B club till 2019.
Blues boss Antonio Conte is believed to keen on wrapping up a deal to bring the youngster to the Stamford Bridge due to his potential and talent which the Italian believes could turn him into a star.
He has also been involved with the Italian under-20 side on four occasions.
There are reports in Italy that If he eventually joins Chelsea, Orsolini may find it difficult breaking into the first team with the likes of Willian and Pedro vying for the same attacking position, though the manager is keen on the transfer.
