Arsenal are to officially announce the landing of Bernd Leno from German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, as per reports.

The gunners are planning to make public the imminent capturing of Bernd Leno from the Bundesliga side, according to German media reports.

German publication Sport-Bild, as cited by Metro, is claiming that Arsenal are ready to confirm the signing of the goalie this week as the clubs second summer signing.

The same article states that the fee is expected to be about £20million as manager Unai Emery looks to strengthen his options in goal ahead of his debut season in charge at the North London club.

The report also suggests that the Gunners are close to agreeing to transfer terms with both the German club and the player ahead of the proposed move.

Arsenal seek replacement
The Gunners are thought to be in the market for a long-term replacement for premier league legend Petr Cech, who is ageing, and the 26-year-old Arsenal target could fit the bill appropriately for the Gunners.

The North Londoners have already completed the signing of experienced defender Stephan Lichtsteiner as their first summer signing following Spaniard Unai Emery’s managerial appointment at the club last month.

Emery will be trying to steer the Gunners back into the Premier League’s top four next term after the club finished in the sixth position without trophy-less last season.
