Jasper Cillessen

Man United are at an advantage to secure the signature of Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen with the player already protesting the clubs tactics to delay his move.

Jasper Cillessen is reported to have told the La Liga outfit that the asking price for his signature is too high as he is keen to find his way out.

Man United are linked with the goalkeeper which makes it a very good development for the club, knowing that the star goalkeeper is ready for a move.

Jasper Cillessen has been lined up as a replacement for Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea who is keen to leave the Old Trafford anytime soon.

David De Gea has refused to sign a new deal with Man United with his contract at the club already running out. Efforts have been made to convince him of a stay at the Old Trafford but that has not yielded any results as at press time.

Man United are therefore making efforts to avoid difficult situations by securing a goalkeeper will be able to serve as a cover for the former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper.

David de Gea has already been linked with a move to the Italian Serie A outfit Juventus

Reigning Champions League winners Liverpool have been told that they can sign one of their transfer targets for £90m according to the publication from TeamTalk.

Liverpool are long-term admirers of Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele who could be the victim of a major rebuilding job at the Nou Camp.

Barcelona signed Dembele from German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund two seasons ago but he has not been able to live up to his full potentials in the colours of the Spanish champions.

Borussia Dortmund received an initial fee of £90m for the French World Cup winner in addition to several millions in add-ons.

According to the aforementioned publication from TeamTalk, the Nou Camp giants want to recoup the initial £90m spent on the 22-year-old winger as they try to raise funds to sign new players this summer.

Ousmane Dembele was part of the 23-man French squad that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia after he recovered from an injury-hit first season as a Barcelona player.

The former Rennes player spent a big part of his debut campaign on the sidelines as a result of various injuries and that affected his form for Barcelona.

Injuries also affected his output for Barcelona during his second season at the club.

Europa League holders Chelsea have rejected two separate bids for one of their players.

This is according to Sky Sports which claimed that the Blues have turned down two separate bids of £35m for Brazilian national team player Willian.

It was revealed that the bids are from the Spanish La Liga duo of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona are long-term admirers of Willian and the Catalans have tried to sign the Chelsea winger on several occasions.

The Spanish champions made a swap bid for him during the winter transfer window but they were unsuccessful.

Barcelona were willing to offer compatriot Malcom in exchange for Willian only for the Spaniards to meet a brickwall, as Chelsea didn’t want to let their winger leave the club.

Atletico Madrid are new entrants as far as the interest in Willian is concerned.

Chelsea are in a more precarious position than they were when the previous Barcelona bid was rejected due to the transfer ban slammed on them by world’s football governing body FIFA.

The West London giants have submitted an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) in a bid to overturn the transfer ban.

Chelsea won’t want to lose another important player following the exit of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid.

Chelsea winger Willian is closing in on a new deal that will end speculation about his future with the newly crowned Europa League winners.

This is according to the report from The Sun which claimed that the 30-year-old will sign a new two-year deal to take him till the end of the 2021/22 season.

The Brazilian international winger has one year left on his present deal with the Blues and Chelsea will go back on their 30+ policy to hand him more than a one-year deal.

The West Londoners did the same for his Chelsea teammate David Luiz.

His compatriot would have been a free agent this summer if the centre back had not signed a two-year deal earlier this summer.

Both David Luiz and Willian figured prominently as Chelsea won the Europa League title via a 4-1 win over Arsenal in the final.

Willian has been a long-term target for Spanish champions Barcelona who were unable to lure the winger away from London.

Barcelona offered a swap deal for him in January which proved unsuccessful just like what was obtainable with the other attempts to sign him.

Willian is presently with the Brazilian national team at the 2019 COPA America tournament on home soil.

He was called up as a replacement for the injured Neymar.

North London outfit Arsenal have already indicated interest in securing the signature of Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen in this summer transfer window.

The Gunners have parted ways with legendary goalkeeper Petr Cech as he has already announced his retirement from active football to pursue a career in management.

This makes Arsenal out in search of a goalkeeper that will serve as a backup to Bernd Leno ahead of the coming season

It has been suggested that Jasper Cillessen can no longer boast of a first team football because of his relegation as a second choice and that pushes him to seek an exit of the Camo Nou.

It was expected that an offer be submitted to the La Liga champions in this summer window but the major challenge has been the asking price for Jasper Cillessen which seem to be too heavy.

The player has now come out to admit that his move of Barcelona might be difficult because he is being prized away from suitors despite his wish to leave the club this summer window.

Jasper Cillessen said he is already aware that Barcelona will not let him leave and that could just end all speculations linking him to the Emirates Stadium.

Spanish champions Barcelona have concluded plans to sell midfielder Ivan Rakitic this summer if they receive the right offer for the Croatian World Cup star.

This is according to Spanish media portal Cadena SER which claimed that the Catalan giants would sanction the sale of Ivan Rakitic if they receive an appropriate offer for him.

Ivan Rakitic has been linked with several clubs on the European football stage including Chelsea though the Blues will have to sort out their transfer ban before any transfer is possible.

Chelsea were handed a two-window transfer ban by world’s football governing body FIFA for their misgivings in relation to the signing of underage players.

The West London giants have already had an appeal thrown out by FIFA’s Appeal Committee but the former Premier League champions are not ready to give up yet.

The recently crowned Europa League winners have submitted an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

Apart from Chelsea, Ivan Rakitic has been linked with Premier League rivals Manchester United as well as the duo of French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan.

Ivan Rakitic has been at Barcelona since 2014 when the Croatian midfielder joined from fellow Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla.

North London outfit Arsenal have been able to part ways with Spanish flop Denis Suarez at the end of the just concluded season but he still had a confession to make.

The Gunners had approached Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona for the signature of Denis Suarez in the last January winter transfer window on a loan deal but had the option of keeping him permanently should he perform at the club.

That did not happen eventually as the Spanish winger was a flop at the Emirates Stadium, failing to make the team in most of the games.

He was tipped to replace England international Danny Welbeck who is already on his way but that will no longer happen as he has been sent back to Spain.

However, Denis Suarez has confessed that the reason why he failed to perform at the Emirates Stadium was that he had fitness issues. According to him, he was not even 50 percent fit when he turned up for his loan spell at Arsenal.

Meanwhile, the former Sevilla winger added that he is still recovering from the injury and he is yet to be fully recovered when he spoke to Spanish Radio station Cadena SER.

There are suggestions that France international and Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti could end up as a Man United player in this summer transfer window.

The World Cup winner had received interest from North London outfit Arsenal but he was quick to come out to claim that he would remain at the Camp Nou to fight for playing time at the club.

Man United have now indicated interest in the star player as they hope to land him in this summer transfer window. It is claimed that they have made inquiries about his availability.

The Red Devils have been linked with Dutch international and Ajax star Matthijs De Ligt but the future of the star player is unknown at the moment. Especially after he claimed that a decision has not been made on his next destination after also receiving interest from Barcelona.

With Man United scared of losing out on the Dutchman, they have made a move for Samuel Umtiti with the hope that they will be able to lure him to accept their bid as it is suggested that Barcelona will let him leave the club for the right fee.

However, the decision would be left to the World Cup winner to make as Barcelona are willing to cash-in.

Europa League champions Chelsea have started to feel the aftereffects of the two-window transfer ban slammed on the club by world football’s governing body FIFA.

The Blues were disciplined for irregularities in the signing of players under the age of 18, but it must be pointed out that the West Londoners have submitted an appeal against the ruling at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) after FIFA’s Appeal Committee denied their request to have the ban overturned.

For now, Chelsea can’t sign new players until the CAS give their verdict and that may affect them in their pursuit of Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho.

According to The Sun, French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are closing in on a move for the Brazilian international player.

His agent Kia Joorabchian has held serious talks over a move to the Parc des Princes this summer.

It was revealed that the former Liverpool star is keen on teaming up the Brazilian contingent of Neymar, Thiago Silva and Marquinhos at PSG.

Chelsea see the €100m-rated Coutinho as their first choice replacement for Eden Hazard, but they face a big fight to see their wish of signing him come through.
