Spanish La Liga Champions Real Madrid are making plans to sign Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin as a probable replacement for injured defender Dani Carvajal.
The Arsenal right-back was strongly linked with a move to Spanish La Liga leaders FC Barcelona throughout the summer.
However, Barcelona head-coach Ernesto Valverde has acquired the services of Nelson Semedo instead, after failing to bring in Arsenal’s Bellerin.
As per Don Balon, Hector Bellerin now seem to be on the wishlist of Real Madrid with club President Florentino Perez interested in bringing the former Barcelona defender to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real might be forced to bring in a new defender with their right-back Dani Carvajal sidelined for a long time.
Los Blancos needs to strengthen at the back, with Catalan club FC Barcelona five points ahead of them on the Log. Don Balon reports that the European Champions will try to sign the Arsenal full-back in the New Year.
The full-back could leave the North London club in the January transfer window as Arsenal fail to hit top form under the tutelage of French tactician Arsene Wenger.
And, despite Bellerin’s links to the Catalan club, the Los Blancos could be a better option for the famous Barcelona Academy product – La Masia to continue his playing career.
Media reports from England suggest that Real could sign the Spaniard for £35m.
