Manchester United first choice goalkeeper David De Gea has admitted that league table leaders Chelsea have already got one hand on the Premier League trophy this season.
Chelsea have been the Premier League’s standout team this season no doubt as the west London club continue sailing with style at the top of the EPL table.
Their remarkable upturn in form this season has been stark contrast to the struggles they encounter last season when they ended up 10th in the table and were without a trophy whatsoever.
New Chelsea Italian boss Antonio Conte has glaringly made a huge impact at Chelsea and watched his side secure an impressive 3-1 victory over Arsenal last weekend.
Meanwhile, Manchester United on the other hand have been struggling to find consistent form this season and are currently sitting in the sixth position in the Premier League table – 14 points behind Chelsea.
And De Gea admits that he has been impressed by what he has seen from the Stamford Bridge club this season.
“The truth is that they [Chelsea] have it very well.
“They are nine points above second and they have the title in their hands. We are all going to fight to get as high as possible but they are very well placed.” The Manchester United goalkeeper told AS
