Why Monchi’s Arsenal snub not a big deal
Emerging reports claim that former AS Roma chief Monchi has returned to Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla amidst interest from Arsenal as the sporting director.
The North London outfit parted ways with their head of recruitment Sven Mislintat and are in the search for a new technical director with Monchi and former player Marc Overmars linked with the job.
It is claimed that the North London outfit were keen on the former AS Roma chief before his decision as they wish to bring him because of his past understanding and working relationship with manager Unai Emery. Both worked together at the Spanish La Liga outfit.
However, there is no need to worry as the North London outfit have got Marc Overmars to bank on before the end of the season with the hope that he will give his nod to work with his former team.
He is believed to have learned of the interest from the North London outfit and there are indications he will make up his mind before the end of the season.
Meanwhile, the North London outfit will do some business in the coming summer transfer window so as to strengthen the team ahead of the coming season.
