Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is ready to break a record first set by Sir Matt Busby following the 1-0 win over Brighton on Saturday at Old Trafford.
A shot from Ashley Young which was deflected by Lewis Dunk, helped the red devils earn all three points from the game against the newly-promoted side.
This means the red devils have extended their unbeaten run at home to 39 games, and Mourinho has now equalled the record set by Sir Matt’s team back then in 1966.
If the Portuguese boss can avoid a defeat when next his side will play at Old Trafford – the Champions League game against CSKA Moscow on December 5th – the ‘Special One’ will set a new record at the club.
The 1-0 win over Chris Hughton’s side has put Jose Mourinho’s side five points behind league leaders Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s side faces Huddersfield Town on Sunday for their next premier league game, and the citizens will hope to extend their impressive run so far this season in the game
Huddersfield broke Man United’s unbeaten run in the premier league a few weeks back, and Mourinho will hope the newly-promoted side will get Pep surprised also after the Sunday’s game.
Up next for Jose Mourinho is a trip to Vicarage Road to play another premier league game with Watford on Tuesday.
