‘Name your fee’ – Man United told club to name their fee for 24-year-old star

According to Italian media reports, Manchester United have told La Liga giants Valencia to name their fee for right-back Joao Cancelo this summer transfer window.

Italian publication Tuttosport, as cited by Metro, is claiming that United are interested in a move for the fullback as manager Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his team ahead of next term.

The 24-year-old could cost Man United as much as £31million, according to the same report, but the Red Devils are allegedly willing to pay whatever the price it takes to bring the right back to Old Trafford this summer window.

Man United is thought to be in the market for a number of new signings this summer window as the manager looks to assemble a squad good enough to win the Premier League title next season.

And Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho has identified the right full-back position as one of the primary areas he wants to reinforce this summer window.

As per the same report, Man United also have a bit of advantage in the transfer race to land Cancelo this summer window because his representative is Jorge Mendes, who is also manager Jose Mourinho’s agent and friend.
