Manchester Unite are reportedly considering a move for Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic.
Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is understood to be weighing up the idea of luring the Serbian to the Old Trafford after losing Morgan Schneiderlin to Everton and also views him as potential replacement for aging Michael Carrick.
Matic formed a strong midfield partnership with N’Golo Kante in the Blues 3-4-3 formation, although his position is now come under intense competition from Cesc Fabregas.
However, Conte might not fancy the idea of selling one of his major stars to a league rival. But Mourinho could try convince Matic to join up with him at the Old Trafford having played under him during his time at the boss at the Stamford Bridge.
In related news, Arsenal legend Sol Campbell has fueled talks that Fernando Llorente could move to Chelsea.
He said: “They are looking at Llorente.
“Antonio Conte has experience with him [at Juventus].
“It’s difficult to replace a guy like Diego Costa. He’s come from Atletico, a top top player.
“Overall, what a wonderful player, aggression, eye for goal, stretching teams – he’s a fantastic focal point for Chelsea.
“At the moment there’s no-one really out there [to replace him].”
However, despite speculation the Spanish striker has said he will not be leaving the Stamford Bridge.
