Chelsea have allegedly fixed an asking price of about £50million for goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois as La Liga giants Real Madrid pursue a move.
Belgian want out
The Belgium international shot-stopper has previously claimed he could consider heading to Spain to be with his family Spain, and Champions League winners Real Madrid are now paying attention to him as an option to Roma goalie Alisson, as per the Mail.
The report claim that 2017 Premier League champions Chelsea want £50million for the goalkeeper as he enters the last season of his deal, which looks like a decent fee for a player the club could lose for nothing next year.
Chelsea place asking price
However, that’s if the Stamford Bridge outfit can persuade suitors to pay the asking price – and if the Blues charge too much for the safe hand, they run the risk of top sides waiting for one more season before snapping the Belgian up at the conclusion of his contract.
The 26-year-old Chelsea number one would undoubtedly make a good signing for the Los Blancos, who could possibly do with a major upgrade on current number one Keylor Navas, who, despite all his qualities, isn’t genuinely one of the best five goalkeepers in the world, unlike Chelsea’s first choice goalkeeper.
