According to reports, Manchester United target Lassana Diarra was in England last week.
The player ended his contract at Al Jazira last month in the hope of signing for a top side in Europe before the end of the winter transfer window.
There were speculations Jose Mourinho’s side have made contact with the 32-year-old’s reps for his signature. It was also made known that Ligue 1 heavyweights PSG are also interested in the player.
Reports in France even suggested that the Paris club are favourites to get the Frenchman’s signature, but Man United are ready to bring him to Old Trafford.
And there are new reports Lassana actually travelled to England not too long ago, fueling speculation of a move to Manchester.
The experienced Frenchman has played at various top European clubs including Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid. He played under manager Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge and when the Portuguese tactician was still boss at the Bernabeu.
Back in 2016, the veteran star dropped some hints that he won’t mind reuniting with Jose Mourinho before he finally hangs his boot.
Although Mourinho has splashed a huge cash to sign midfielders like Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic since he took over the mantle of leadership at Old Trafford, the Portuguese tactician is still keen on bolstering his midfield department.
