Torino forward Andrea Belotti has insisted he is not worth his £84million release clause amid speculations over a potential move to the Premier League.
The Italian striker has been heavily linked with away from the Serie A, due to his impressive form with Torino, scoring 25 goals in the Serie A.
Chelsea and Manchester United have linked with a move for Belotti and will have to pay around £84million for the striker, but the 24-year-old believed otherwise.
‘To be honest, no (I don’t feel I am worth it),’ Belotti told Mediaset.
‘But given the way the transfer market has developed, increasingly ridiculous sums are being spent.
‘The cost of players has gone up far too much.’
Arsenal are also said to be nursing the idea of moving for the Torino forward next summer as Arsene Wenger is said to be a keen admirer of the Italian’s qualities.
It is also understood that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is ready to break the bank to lure him to the Stamford Bridge as he views Belotti as viable replacement for Diego Costa who might Chelsea next summer.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are believed to be in the market in search of a forward, as Jose Mourinho wants to bolster his attacking options ahead of next season.
