France international Nabil Fekir is aiming to move away from Ligue 1 side Lyon before the end of the season and Arsenal are reportedly set to make his dream come true as they are hoping to complete a £45million move for his signature before the summer World Cup in Russia, according to report.
Arsenal under-fire manager Arsene Wenger is set to bolster his squad ahead of next season should he remain at Emirates Stadium beyond the end of this campaign.
It is believed that the 68-year-old is in search of a new full-back, goalkeeper and a midfielder who will supplement Mesut Ozil at the middle of the park.
Fekir was linked with a move to the North London club during the previous transfer period but the youngster wasn’t released by the club as Arsenal didn’t make an official approach for his service.
Having witnessed a poor display from his midfielders this season, Wenger is tipped to make an official approach to the player’s representative so as to negotiate over a possible move to the North London club.
According to the Sun, Wenger is ready to pay £45m for his services in the summer.
The Newspaper also claims that Nabil Fekir is ready to cut ties with the Ligue 1 side before the 2018-19 season.
He is being tracked by Real Madrid who could lose Toni Kroos to Manchester United and Lucas Modric to Chelsea in the summer.
Fekir has been directly involved in 27 goals in all competitions so far this season, making him one of best midfielders in Europe.
