Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been given a ‘new choice’ to make at the club.
According to new reports, the Old Trafford club have held talks with the Swede legend over a coaching position at the club following his devastating knee injury.
The former Barcelona striker is expected to be out of the pitch for up to a year after suffering a severe damage to his knee ligaments during their Europa League quarter-final game against Anderlecth.
The former Sweden international is out of contract at the end of this current campaign, and as things stands now, it is unlikely that Manchester United will give him a new deal because he isn’t expected to return back to the pitch any time soon.
Other quality strikers like Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann are already linked with the Old Trafford club.
But reports coming from English media indicates that United’s Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho is not interested in cutting ties with the former AC Milan Man, and has held talks with Ibra over a coaching role at the club.
Even though it was added that there is no deal yet on the table, Zlatan now have a decision to make as age is no longer on his side.
