Manchester United Boss Drops Hint About Star Player Ahead Of Chelsea Clash

Jose Mourinho is expecting Henrikh Mkhitaryan to be fit for his side’s FA Cup trip to Stamford Bridge come 13 March

Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has revealed that Armenian star player Henrikh Mkhitaryan will definitely miss United’s Premier League game with Bournemouth at Old Trafford due to injury – but the Player is in line to play against Chelsea when they will meet in the FA Cup.H

Henrikh Mkhitaryan sat out last weekend’s EFL Cup final triumph over Southampton there at Wembley due to the problem but was however still in north London to celebrate the win with his fellow players.

The Armenia international was pictured in Manchester United training on Friday as the red devils prepared for their Premier League game against the Cherries at Old Trafford.

He has however not been deemed fit enough to feature for Manchester United this weekend.

But former Chelsea coach and current Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho suggested that the summer signing will be ready in time for the FA Cup quarter-final clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on 13 March.

Mourinho speaking to MUTV said Mkhitaryan is still out as he didn’t recover in time for this game [against Bournemouth]

“I believe, during the next week, especially for the weekend [ahead of the trip to Stamford Bridge], he will be fine and we don’t have major problems.” he noted.

The red devils head into the clash against Bournemouth looking to stretch their unbeaten run in the Premier League to 17 games. They desire the full three points in the game as Jose Mourinho hopes to finish this season among the top four in the league table so as to feature in the Champions League next season.
