Video: Chelsea defender and German player, Antonio Rudiger put his mark on Pavard’s neck
The international holiday is currently on with European countries participating in the UEFA nations league.
Well, Germany and France went head to head last night at the Allianz Arena.
The first few hours of the game came with no goal for each of the world champions.
However, what actually got our attention was the injury afflicted on 22-year-old France defender, Benjamin Pavard by Chelsea defender and Germany international, Antonio Rudiger.
Antonio Rudiger had mistakenly used his boot to step on Pavard during a clash which resulted in some injuries on the part of the French player.
Pavard got some scars he wouldn’t forget too soon.
The injury was considered not intentional as the duo do not have any axe to grind.
According to the match highlight, Rudiger had made move to block a ball from Pavard by crashing on him with his boot.
However, the injury was not too much to prevent 22-year-old Benjamin Oscar’s from playing on for France.
Another thing was that Antonio Rudiger was lucky to evade punishment because the referee didn’t notice the dangerous move.
