Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham has revealed his plans to emulate Diego Costa to force his way into the starting eleven at Stamford Bridge.
The 19-year-old striker who is on loan with Championship side Bristol City where he is currently impressing, scoring 13 goals in 26 appearances and has been tipped for huge success in the future.
However, the Blues have a track record of not keeping their young stars but the English U21 striker has talked up his chances of making the first team at the Bridge.
He told the London Evening Standard: “Playing at the top level in the Premier League — that’s where I strive to be,
“England Under-21s is just one step below the first team so I’m going to keep striving to be the best and hopefully I’ll get a call-up.
“Wherever you go you have to learn off players who you play with and who you are up against.
“Diego Costa is a good example.
“He’s doing very well and he’s arguably one of the best strikers in the world so I have to see what he does and add it to my game.”
Chelsea have about 40 players on loan presently and are still looking to bring in more stars which could see being overlooked.
