Liverpool Target Set To Sign Bumper Contract With Arsenal

According to new reports, Arsenal star player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is set to sign a new deal at North London to commit his future to the FA Cup winner.

He has been with the Gunners since 2011 following his move from Southampton.

However, the 23-year-old’s future at the North London club had been in doubt this year, and Jurgen Klopp’s is reportedly trying to get him to Anfield this summer.

Nevertheless, the Daily Mirror is reporting that Arsene Wenger’s side believes the youngster will reject Liverpool’s advances and sign a new contract with Arsenal.

The Englishman started Arsenal’s FA Cup final victory over Chelsea at Wembley some days ago, and he will hope to win more silverware with Arsenal next year.

It is understood that discussions are already on over a new contract that will see the Englishman earning over £100,000 each week, and the deal is expected to be finalised before the end of the month.

Alex has shown his versatility for the just-concluded season and was impressive in various positions, giving him a place back in the England national squad.

Liverpool will play in the Champions League next season and Arsenal will settle for the Europa League.
