The Belgian international defender’s deal is set to run out at the end of next season unless the North London outfit activates a certain clause that will increase the length of his deal by an extra 1 year.

If they do so, the centre-half would be available for about £25million deal next summer window as part of an intricate deal arrangement with the North London club.

As a result, Spurs are believed to be prepared to offload the defender in the present summer transfer window to ensure they receive a reasonable return on him.
