The legal battle between the parents of 16-year–old AS Monaco player Hannibal Mejbri and the club might help the English Premier League outfit Man United to snap up the player.
Man United have long been interested in the signature of Hannibal Mejbri with claims that they made an important offer to land the young prospect in the coming summer transfer window.
It is claimed that the family of Hannibal Mejbri and AS Monaco are in a legal dispute as they do not believe in any private agreement that should stop the youngster to leave the club on a free transfer.
It is reported that Man United have already held talks with the 16-year-old’s family over the past months with the hope that a move will happen but the French Ligue 1 outfit are trying to lay claims on the player.
However, it is reported that the case would be looked into by a legal committee and the outcome will determine if the player leaves the club or not.
The development has forced Hannibal Mejbri out of AS Monaco for almost a month as he awaits a resolution of the matter to be able to determine his next destination.
