Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was questioned about the fitness of midfield maestro N’Golo Kanté in the post-match presser following the Blues 2-1 victory over Everton in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening, and the former Juventus boss had some good tidings to share with fans.
Antonio Conte told Football.London N’Golo Kanté is now ‘ready’ to return but we [technical crew] must remain patient.
The Chelsea manager has provided an injury update on N’Golo Kante, telling newsmen the France international midfielder is ready to return to the squad after sustaining up a hamstring injury on 7th of October.
The Sun initially reported that the former Leicester City star could miss the entire month of October, but if the midfield maestro plays this coming weekend, he would have returned ahead of earlier schedule.
Since Kante’s injury, the Blues have experienced a downturn in form, having lost against bottom side Crystal Palace days after he sustained the injury setback and also dropped valuable points in the Champions League against Italian Saria A giant AS Roma.
Conte and his army will face AFC Bournemouth next in the Premier League, before heading to Rome on Tuesday night to face AS Roma and hosting rivals Manchester United in the English Premier League on November 5. Having last season’s PFA player of the year back in the team for one of those matches would be massive for the Blues.
