United chief set to meet star player amidst transfer links

Reports according to Sun state that Manchester United board are set for an important meeting with Eric Bailly over the speculations surrounding his future at the club.

Bailly has not seen enough games under manager Jose Mourinho without a single start this season and that seems to have angered him to want an exit from the club.

He is now being rated far below Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof who both get the nod from the boss for games.

However, the board are reluctant to let him leave and they have scheduled a meeting later this week to have him remain at the club.

Although ESPN pundit Alejandro Moreno had advised Bailly not to remain at the Old Trafford not minding if the Portuguese manager leaves s or remains.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs, Italian giants AC Milan and North London club Arsenal are also believed to be interested in his signature.

Suggestions are that the Ivory Coast international will not mind remaining at the Old Trafford but must be assured of a regular playing time before he can further commit his future to the club.

However, Mourinho has expressed the need for the club to go all out for defenders in the coming winter transfer window.
