Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is not giving up on Toby Alderweireld after a failed attempt in the summer to have him join the Old Trafford.

The fact that the club failed to sign Toby Alderweireld for the Portuguese boss created rift in the club between the manager and the management with Mourinho and the executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward being at loggerhead with each other.

The former Chelsea boss had lamented and predicted that the failure to sign Toby Alderweireld from Tottenham and other defensive targets will spell doom for the club.

There is no doubt that all the fears of the manager happened with the Red Devils being defeated and humiliated this season. They had one of the worst starts in their club history.

With the situation already getting better as the Manchester United side can now boast of some wins in recent weeks, the Portuguese manager has begun his pursuit for Toby Alderweireld and he has decided to go scout for him.

According to the Standard, the former Chelsea boss watched Toby Alderweireld on Thursday in Brussels where he played for his countryside Belgium.

However, there are suggestions that Jose Mourinho will return this winter for Alderweireld as he is keen on adding more defenders to his side.
