One of the best investments Chelsea made last summer is bringing back Samba defender David Luiz from PSG.
The former Paris Saint-Germain defender became an integral part of the Ligue I club in his two years spell in France.
The defender has been impressive in Antonio Conte’s squad this term and has played a large role in Chelsea’s superb display so far.
Prior to the beginning of this current campaign, lots of critics felt he won’t be able to catch up with the highest level in the English top flight, but the Brazilian star has proved all doubters wrong.
He was named in the PFA Team of the Year and is on his way of winning the premier league title with his Chelsea side.
And Luiz, speaking recently about his form, revealed that he believes his understanding of the game has improved since his first period at the Stamford Bridge club.
When asked if he was matured, he noted that there is no other choice but to be one.
The central defender who has successfully kept many strikers quiet this term, noted that he now read more of the game and can now understand more of the game.
Chelsea Italian manager Antonio Conte has deployed David as part of his back three and has earned lots of admiration for his performances. His side can move within three points of winning the premier league trophy on Monday if they should beat Middlesbrough.
