Steven N’Zonzi has refused to completely rule out a return to the English Premier League, with North London giant Arsenal reportedly keen on his signature.
The Gunners were strongly linked with N’Zonzi over the last summer, as Arsenal continue to go without a strong physical presence in the middle of the pitch like the Ex Stoke City man.
When questioned about the likelihood of returning to the English Premier League, the 28-year-old answered: “Who knows what will happen. I [Nzonzi] am not going to discuss the contracts,” reports British publication The Sun.
Steven N’Zonzi spent six seasons in the English Premier League between the 2009 and 2015 League season, with that time shared equally between Blackburn and Stoke.
He returned to English soil last summer for the pre-seasonEmirates Cup, finding the back of the net against Arsenal to help Spanish La Liga side Sevilla to a victory, although the Gunners won the Cup eventually anyway.
In more serious tournament, the French star won the UEFA Europa League with La Liga side Sevilla in the 2015/16 League season, and made the team of the Spanish League season for that term.
He’s also recently been invited for his debut for France national team, playing against Wales on the 10th of November. So clearly his recent impressive form has not gone unnoticed.
