A number of English Premier League sides are in search for the signature of Ajax defender David Neres ahead of the summer transfer window and the Merseyside outfit Liverpool are the latest to be named.
The battle was initially between the two London teams Arsenal and Chelsea with the Gunners team tipped to land the star player but they have now been joined by Liverpool who are also keen to strengthen the team ahead of the coming season for more title fights.
David Neres’ performance has caught the attention of pundits and other top sides as he was instrumental in the Ajax team that defeated Juventus and Real Madrid to get to the semi-finals.
The Sun reports that David Neres is available for sale but the three EPL sides will have to battle to land his signature.
However, £35 million has been tabled as the asking price for the star player which is claimed to be cheap for the three teams to afford.
Meanwhile, the Blues team cannot be sure of a fight for David Neres as they are currently serving transfer ban while Arsenal are favourites as they will be able to assure the star winger of more playing time than at the Anfield.
