Revealed: Chelsea Loanee Wants To End Career In Spain

Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has said that he would like to end his career with the Spanish La Liga giants despite the fact that he’s still a Chelsea player.

Spanish international Morata is on loan at Atletico Madrid from Premier League giants Chelsea.

He joined the Rojiblancos on loan for 18 months till next summer with the option of making the loan deal a permanent one.

Since his loan transfer to Atletico Madrid, Alvaro Morata has scored six goals in 17 appearances in all competitions.

He told Spanish sports newspaper Marca about his desire to stay at Atletico Madrid from now till the end of his professional career.

The new development would be music to the ears of the Atletico Madrid fans who are resigned to losing the services of Antoine Griezmann.

The French World Cup winner has said that it’s time to leave the club after five years and he’s expected to join Spanish champions Barcelona in the coming days.

Alvaro Morata has enjoyed a form of a renaissance in his football career in the wake of his loan move to Atletico Madrid after a difficult 18 months at Chelsea.

He joined the Stamford Bridge outfit for a then club-record deal of around £60m from Real Madrid and went on to score 24 goals in 72 Chelsea appearances before signing for Atletico Madrid in January.
