Real Madrid deny Eden Hazard, make move for Edison Cavani.

Chelsea board must be glad over the failed attempt of European Champions, Real Madrid to sign Belgian striker, Eden Hazard.

The Blues have placed Hazard transfer fee at the sum of £178 million but the Spanish club was not ready to part away with such a huge amount of money.

Real Madrid have hoped to bring Eden Hazard to Spain as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who left for Italian club, Juventus.

The Los Blancos have now changed course as they are now set to make a move for Paris Saint Germain striker, Edison Cavani.

Madrid want to sign a ready-made player and not one they will have to groom which was why they want to sign Eden Hazard, who has a similar playing pattern to Cristiano Ronaldo.

Other players Real Madrid have hoped to sign are Mbappe and Neymar Junior.

However, Neymar in a recent statement have disclosed he is not moving back to Spain as he prefers the French league.

This means Real Madrid is stuck with 31 years old Uruguay international, Cavani.

Edison Cavani have done well for himself at PSG and also his home country, Uruguay as they defeated Cristiano Ronaldo led Portugal team in the round of 16 in the recently concluded world cup in Russia.
