Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville is not pleased with Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s performance at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, following his former side’s 1-0 defeat by Chelsea in the premier league.
Mkhitaryan featured from the start of the game, but couldn’t make any mark whatsoever in the midfield for Manchester United before he was eventually substituted in the 62nd minute of the duel.
This season so far, Henrikh has started 10 of his side’s 11 Premier League games but keeps struggling for form in recent weeks.
The 28-year-old was regarded as the worst player on the pitch that Sunday afternoon and has been called out by Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher for his terrible performance after the game in West London.
And when analysing Manchester United’s performance in the centre of the park after the game at Stamford Bridge on Sky Sports, club hero Gary Neville offered a blunt assessment of the Armenian’s display, admitting he ‘struggled badly’.
Henrikh will be hoping to win back a place in Jose Mourinho’s first team when they clash with Newcastle United at Old Trafford for their next premier league game immediately after the international break.
So far this season in the premier league, he has scored just once and has provided five assists to his teammates.
However, he hasn’t fully found his feet in his last six games for Manchester United.
