Liverpool signed a new left-back during the past summer transfer window when they landed Andrew Robertson from Hull City.

However, Robertson is not getting lots of playing time this season under Jurgen Klopp, and has mostly warmed the bench so far in the campaign.

Klopp preferred fielding Spanish international Alberto Moreno in his starting eleven each week, while Andy watches from the bench.

Even though Moreno has improved to a good extent at Liverpool, still, his side have conceded lots of goals so far this term due to bad defending. And apart from this, Moreno himself has not been too productive upfront and has not provided any assistance in the premier league, despite playing eight games already.

Considering this, Jurgen Klopp still needs to sign a quality left back that can contribute better and can play at Anfield in the long run.

And according to new reports, the Merseyside club are interested in signing Scottish fullback Kieran Tierney.

Tierney is a versatile star who can play effectively as a left back and as a winger in the midfield. He has been brilliant this season at Celtic, and various English clubs are understood to be interested in signing him – including Manchester United.

The 20-year-old has featured in 24 games for the Scottish heavyweights in all competitions this term and has scored two goals with four assists.

He is rated around £35M, and Klopp must do all it takes to bring him to Anfield.
