According to reports, Nantes promising playmaker, Harit, has been on the Gunner’s radar and even Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich’s radar all through the summer following his impressive performances in the 2016/17 League season. However, German Bundesliga outfit Schalke has always been the favourite to sign the 20-year-old playmaker.
To some extent, it seems like Harit has reportedly agreed and signed a four-year contract with Schalke and is set to complete his £7.75m transfer, of which £6.25m will be paid up front, very soon.
The North London club previously apparently had an offer of a little above £7m turned down by French club Nantes. Arsenal supposedly looked as if they were targeting him as a long-term replacement for Germany International midfielder Mesut Ozil but now that it seems like the German’s not leaving the club, looks like the services of Harit might not be required.
The Frenchman has risen through the ranks at French club Nantes and was just promoted to the first team last season. However, £7m rated playmaker went on to play 34 matches in all competitions, scoring a goal and assisting just once.
Harit currently have three years left on his contract with the Ligue 1 outfit.
