French star player N’Golo Kante has revealed why he decided to join Chelsea over Ligue I side PSG last summer.
Kante was a hot prospect a year ago after playing a pivotal role in helping Leicester City win the Premier League title in his first season at the English top flight.
The France international has gone ahead to win the title again with Chelsea in his second year playing in the premier league – becoming the first player to do so.
However, he could have ended up at PSG after explaining they were one of his suitors before he chose Chelsea.
Kante, recently talking about his decision, reveals that he had a discussion with Chelsea’s boss Antonio Conte and the discussion with the Italian manager played a big role in his decision to come to Stamford Bridge.
The 26-year-old also said he desires to continue playing in the Premier League as the league and the style of play in England suit him after he had a good season with Leicester City the previous campaign.
The Frenchman’s superb form for the blues in the just concluded season awarded him the PFA Player of the Year, beating his Chelsea teammate Eden Hazard to the prestigious award.
